The Backyard Patch produces more than 50 different bath, skin care and scented relaxation items which are all included under the heading of Bath and Spa. We use the most healthful combinations of herbs nad natural ingredients that work on almost all skin types. The offerings do change seasonally, so scroll to the bottom of the page for the extra items we have for this season.
Bath Tub Tea -- A personal favorite of mine, this blend creates a soothing and luxurious herbal bath. Good in all tub types, including whirl pools, because the herbs are sealed in a giant tea bag (3" x 3 1/2"). Two different blends are available: Original Blend has rose to soften skin, lavender to relax tension along with herbs to cleanse and detoxify. New Secret Garden Blend is a mixture with flowers including rose and lavender with spearmint and lemon balm to awaken relaxation. Herbal essential oils are included in this special blend. Each item is a single cotton tea bag sealed in a paper envelope with a decorative label and complete instructions.
Bath Bags -- These reusable cotton bags contains a blend of herbs formulated to provide soothing relaxation. There are two versions: Tranquil Bath with herbs of lavender, lemon verbena, chamomile, valerian root, marjoram, calendula. And Lemon Bath containing lemon verbena, fennel, and lemon peel. Great in jet tubs, because the herbs stay inside the bag. Each bag can be used multiple times until the scent is exhausted. Tie the bag beneath the faucet while tub is filling, then allow to float in water while you soak. Shower bags -- These reusable cotton shower bags contains a blend of soap and herbs to provide either an exhilarating wake-up or a soothing relaxation to your shower. The Wake-up Shower bag contains lemon balm, marjoram, peppermint, savory, and yarrow with a pure, natural soap with no perfumes. The Relaxing Shower bag contains chamomile, lemon verbena and thyme with a pure, natural soap with no perfume. Each bag can be used multiple times until the soap is exhausted. To gain best of the herbal benefits, the bag should come in contact with the skin. |

Scented Bath Salts – This blend of differing salts creates the best experience in the tub. Crafted with 4 types of salts including Epsom and sea salt, is lightly scented with essential oil. Packaged in a paper envelope with a colorful label, including directions for both a bath and foot soak. Each package is just $3.25 and contains enough for multiple baths and is available in lavender, rose, lemon and other floral scents in season. Skin smoothing Bath Salts -- The perfect relaxing bath soak for tense muscles and stress reduction is soothing salts and relaxing scents. Crafted with sea salt and baking soda, and lightly scented with essential oils, it softens and soothes rough skin and relieves itching. Contains no ground herbs, so clean-up is a breeze. Packaged in a paper envelope with a colorful label and 2 pre-measured bags of salts. Available in many scents, including lavender, lemon, rose geranium, and grapefruit. Each envelope is $3.25 Foot refresher salts -- Treat tired, achy feet with these salts blended with herbal essential oils formulated to soothe, relax and kill germs. Several scents are available including eucalyptus, lemon, lavender and grapefruit. Packaged in a paper envelope with a colorful label and two pre-measured bags of salts. Use one pre-measured package per foot soak. A special set is sold with salts and marbles for a perfect foot massage too |

Citrus Foot Scrub -- I created this blend originally for my mother who develops thick calluses on her feet. This wonderfully lemon-scented mixture is used to create soft, smooth feet. Perfect to prepare for summer footwear. The mixture combines ground oats, cornmeal, and sea salt that when mixed with a little water creates a paste that will leave feet tingly and refreshed. The mixture is either sealed in a paper envelope with a decorative label and complete instructions or in a 4 oz. size jar. |
Sore muscle soak -- This soak, contained in a fabric wrap, is good for all skin types. It contains an interesting set of herbs that work together to help relax sore muscles, while the herbal fragrance will soothe frayed nerves. Made with Epsom salts and baking soda blended with sage, chamomile, marjoram, rosemary, lemon balm, peppermint, lavender and peppermint essential oil. Sold in a set of three fabric balls, each Ball can only be used once. Suspend the ball beneath the tap, allowing water to flow though the cloth. When the tub is full, remove the ball from faucet and massage your body with it for a few moments, then let it float in the water. The peppermint scent will fill the air and the herbs will work on different muscle groups. aa |

Eye Savers-- A set of 4 cotton tea bags allows you two treatments for the puffy or darkened circles under the eyes. Just brew and chill 2 tea bags and place over eyes for 10 to 20 minutes. We have three versions: Chamomile, Eyebright and NEW Green Tea. Eyebright is a traditional herb for eye care, Chamomile has soothing properties and Green tea is great for skin. Contains, rose, lavender, chamomile and other herbs. Sealed cotton sachet is packaged in a paper envelope with decorative labeling and complete instructions. Headache sachet use this under your head when a headache is setting in. The gentle citrus and savory fragrance of natural herbs will help ward off stress. Contains lemon verbena, lavender, marjoram and cloves. Relaxation sachet this little pillow is filled with gently relaxing herbs that assist sleep and push away stress. Contains peppermint, chamomile and sweet woodruff. Lavender Sachet is a 100% lavender-filled cotton sachet which is perfect to freshen drawers and closets or you can slip it under your pillow to aid sleep. All-natural organic ingredients make it person friendly. |
Winter Restorative Bath Salts in a Decorative Tin - The aroma of these salts helps restore a sense of balance and are especially good for you in the hectic holiday season.
